If you’re recently engaged, you’re likely daunted by all the events you’re expected to plan—and that’s not even counting the wedding. That’s why we’re here to answer all your pressing pre-wedding party etiquette questions.

When should I host my bridesmaids’ lunch?

The traditional time to host a bridesmaids’ lunch is a day or so before your wedding. It’s your chance to collectively get excited for what’s to come—go, team!—and thank everyone for throwing your bridal shower, going wedding dress shopping, and generally keeping you sane during the engagement. This is when you’ll distribute their gifts and, if there’s time and cash, take everyone for a post-lunch manicure. One caveat: Pay close attention to scheduling and give your maids some downtime before the rehearsal dinner.
